Cloud Security Architect

Location: Hybrid – Dundalk

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join a growing platform design team, helping shape the security strategy for modern cloud infrastructure and services.

This is a hands-on architecture role focused on embedding security by design across cloud platforms, working closely with architects, platform engineering teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain cloud security architecture and security-by-design principles.
• Design secure cloud solutions across AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop reusable security patterns and controls using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Embed security within CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Lead architecture reviews, threat modelling, and security risk assessments.
• Implement and advise on IAM, network security, encryption, logging, and key management.
• Drive policy-as-code and automated compliance initiatives.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote security best practices across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' experience in Cloud Security Architecture or Cloud Security Engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud security.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation or similar).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD security, and security automation.
• Solid understanding of IAM, networking, encryption, monitoring, and cloud security controls.
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks, SOC 2, or GDPR.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
